Policy

Terms of Service

The core terms for using Wake Logger, including account use, uploaded trip content, public sharing, and paid subscriptions processed through Stripe.

Effective April 13, 2026.

Acceptance and Eligibility

By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, uploading trip data, or otherwise using Wake Logger, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. You must only use the service if you are legally able to enter into this agreement and have the authority to upload, manage, or publish the data you provide.

Accounts and Vessel Access

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, maintaining accurate account information, and controlling who has access to any vessels, trips, or records you manage. If you invite crew, request vessel access, or manage shared workspaces, you must do so lawfully and with appropriate authority.

User Content and Permissions

You retain responsibility for the trip logs, vessel data, media, notes, crew information, and any other content you upload. You grant Wake Logger the rights needed to host, process, analyze, display, and distribute that content solely to operate the service and the sharing settings you choose. You must not upload content you do not have permission to use.

Public Sharing

Wake Logger supports optional public pages for trips, vessels, and profiles. When you publish content, you are responsible for that choice and for any resulting visibility of routes, media, trip summaries, or related metadata. Wake Logger may remove public content that violates law, safety, platform rules, or third-party rights.

If you contribute content to a shared vessel workspace, you acknowledge that the vessel owner may have authority within the product to publish supported trip, vessel, or media content publicly.

Paid Features, Trials, and Billing

Some Wake Logger features are paid subscriptions billed monthly or annually. Billing is processed by Stripe. If a free trial is offered at checkout, access continues only until the end of the trial unless you cancel first. After the trial ends, or at the end of each billing period for a paid plan, the subscription renews automatically until canceled.

Digital access to paid features is typically provisioned shortly after successful checkout and Stripe confirmation. Pricing, billing interval, and available products are shown before checkout. Promotion codes may be accepted when enabled.

Cancellation and Refunds

You can manage active subscriptions from the Wake Logger billing page and, where available, through the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, which means your subscription remains active until the next renewal date and you will not be charged again after cancellation takes effect unless you reactivate or start a new subscription. Trial cancellations can end paid-feature access immediately when the underlying Stripe subscription is still in a trialing state.

Wake Logger does not provide refunds or partial refunds for change of mind, unused time, or partial billing periods, except where required by law, including the Australian Consumer Law. If you believe you were billed in error, contact hello@wakelogger.com promptly.

Availability and Product Changes

Wake Logger may add, remove, suspend, or modify features, pricing, upload workflows, public sharing behavior, analytics, and qualification support to preserve security, legal compliance, and service reliability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free processing, or permanent retention of any specific feature.

Prohibited Conduct

You must not use Wake Logger to infringe third-party rights, upload malicious files, interfere with other users, abuse billing systems, scrape private data, bypass permissions, or violate applicable law. Wake Logger may suspend or terminate access to protect the service and other users.

Disclaimers and Liability

Wake Logger is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Trip reconstruction, analytics, qualification guidance, weather enrichment, and AI-derived outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and are not a substitute for seamanship, professional advice, navigation judgment, legal review, or regulatory guidance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wake Logger is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any non-excludable rights or remedies you may have under Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
